The shoal was first exhibited at the Newlyn Fish Festival in aug 2003, the following spring it was exhibited on the lawn outside the entrance to Tresco Abbey Gardens. It was purchased by the estate and sited in the lake in 2004 and was toms first piece of sculpture on the islands. The piece is constructed from stainless steel and is approximately 7ft long
