Arches Tresco Garden | Agave Fountain | Hell Bay Hotel, Brhyer | Shoal Tresco

The Tresco arches were commissioned in early 2004 to act as the new front entrance to Tresco Abbey Gardens; the entrance was changed due to the increased number of visitors, which had been straining the existing facilities. The Garden entrance was moved to where it is now sited with a new visitor centre, shop, bridge and front entrance. The arches were based on the legendary Tresco Abbey Arch, which served as the entrance to the Benedictine monastery and creates one of the main vistas within the gardens.

The arches are made of bronze and stand at three and a half meters in height and two and a half metres in width, with floral motifs sited between them, and is to be used as a frame work for climbing plants to use, creating a floral entrance to the gardens.
