The world famous Abbey Gardens, Tresco, had suffered heavy snowfall in January 1987 and further storm damage led to a garden design compition, resulting in a large area being transformed into the Mediterranean Terrace.

Tom was commission to provide a centrepiece for the lower pond area to complete and enhance this new garden design and relate to the surrounding mature gardens. The Agave fountain reflects those large agave plants iconic of the Abbey Gardens.
